Save for College NYC Kids Rise Family Workshop Calendar Free workshops for parents and guardians of eligible and participating students! The NYC Kids RISE Save for College Program is a scholarship and savings program designed to make college and career training more accessible for public school students. This school year, every kindergarten through fourth grade student enrolled in NYC public schools can join the Program, no matter their family income or immigration status. Eligible children are automatically enrolled and receive a free NYC Scholarship Account with an initial $100 for college and career training, unless their parents or guardians choose not to participate. Families have opportunities to receive additional rewards and Community Scholarships for their child’s account over time.
